Dear colleagues

The 18 th Meeting of Asian Society of  Paediatric Anaesthesiologists “ASPA 2022”, jointly organized by the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation (TARD) and the Asian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (ASPA), will be held in Istanbul during 14-16 October 2022. I am very happy and honored to host ASPA 2022 Congress. 

Collaboration between TARD and ASPA is growing day by day and I believe that this cooperation will grow even stronger in the following years. 

The theme of this congress in Istanbul, the bridge between east and west, was chosen appropriately as “Revisiting paediatric anaesthesia: merging the best of east and west.” In our congress, innovations in paediatric anaesthesia will be reviewed with many experienced and respected scientists from the East and the West in order to do the best for our “children who are the guarantee of our future”, which we have neglected for 2 years due to COVID-19. In addition to our rich scientific program, we will have to chance to refresh ourselves with social programs in the beauties of Istanbul. The congress will be held as hybrid, so there will be the opportunity to participate in both physically and virtually. 

We await you in Istanbul, a city that is always worth exploring with its dazzling historical and cultural texture on both Europe and Asia, to take a sigh of relief after our painful yet challenging and honorable struggle against the pandemic.
